Argentine Patagonia is an immense region beginning in the province of Rio Negro and carrying on all the way to Tierra Del Fuego. For the most part it is comprised of arid steppes seemingly stretching into infinity. In the hollows of the grasslands are ponds or lakes of fresh and brackish water. Towards the Andes, animal life becomes more abundant and vegetation more luxuriant. Overall the land holds many highlights, but perhaps the most spectacular is the Los Glaciares National Park. This federally protected area and the second largest national park in the country and features one of the world’s largest ice caps, spectacular glaciers and majestic mountains. This is the land of magic, adventure and great hidden secrets.
