Amongst Chile’s great nature spectacles, we are home to incredible glaciers all over the country. Parts of these large masses of ice have the uniqueness of moving just like a slow river flow. Some of them can measure the size of a football field, while others can reach hundreds of kilometers/miles long. For that reason, exploring glaciers is one of the many breathtaking adventures that must not be missed. The following excursions are part of the available options:
  • ICY GLACIER AND HOT SPRINGS (FD) PRI

On this excursion, the experience will be all about contradicting sceneries and sensations. The journey begins in San Jose de Maipo (near Santiago), where a trek to the El Morado Glacier and lake will take place. Along the way, there will be amazing views of a hanging glacier which falls away into the surrounding water. After the hike, passengers will have the chance to rest in the Baños Colina Hotsprings.

  • ICE HIKE EXPLORADORES GLACIER (FD) SIB

This full day tour will take place in the Exploradores Valley, in the sector of Puerto Río Tranquilo. From there, travelers will go on a trek through the surrounding green forest. They will ascend the frontal moraine of the glacier where they will be privileged with panoramic views and even a journey into the ice caves later on.
